Mexico

Mexico City was founded in 1325 by Indians, the Aztecs. According to
legend, the gods commanded the Aztecs to found the capital on an island in
Lake Texcoco, where they see an eagle devouring a snake. And now at this
point stretched the largest metropolis of the world, as well as the
fastest growing city in the New World. This is a true "outdoor museum" -
there are over 1400 monuments and historical relics, 10 archaeological
sites in the city, and around 8 universities, several academies, more than
80 museums, theaters, concert halls and exhibition of more than 2 thousand
. restaurants, dozens of parks and recreation centers. And all this - with
an enormous population density! Mexico City - is a special energy
symbiosis of cultures and forms, from Catholicism to the avant-garde! p>
